OUR HISTORY

Founded in 1907 by Charles Maynard, the company began as Maynard Electric Steel Casting Company. In 1913, it was acquired by Sylvester Wabiszewski and renamed Maynard Steel Casting Company. More than a century later, Maynard still operates from its original location on Milwaukee’s south side.

Today, Maynard is recognized as a global leader in manufacturing highly engineered, low-carbon alloy steel castings, with finished weights ranging from 1,000 to 35,000 pounds.

For nearly 125 years, we’ve built strong, lasting partnerships with our customers and employees by listening closely, working collaboratively, and continuously innovating. This spirit of teamwork and commitment drives our shared pursuit of excellence and long-term success.
From pattern design to metallurgy, melting through finishing, we bring deep expertise, precision, and craftsmanship to every casting. Our experienced team isn’t just a workforce; they’re partners in engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and procurement who ensure reliable, high-quality results at every stage.
