
Job Type: Full Time, M-F, Overtime available on occasion
SUMMARY OF THE POSITION: Operate overhead bridge cranes safely, accurately, and efficiently, using either an overhead cab or pendant controls, to lift, transport, and position heavy materials of various sizes and shapes throughout the foundry, cleaning room, and quality control areas. This role demands a high level of precision, strict adherence to safety protocols, and effective coordination with production teams to ensure proper crane operation and secure material handling operations.
Job Responsibilities
· Operate overhead bridge cranes to transport materials as required
· Inspect crane equipment daily to ensure safe and proper functionality
· Follow verbal, written, signal, and crane operating instructions to maneuver loads
· Safely attach loads using hooks, slings, magnets, or other lifting devices
· Adhering to maximum load/lift limits at all times
· Maintain accurate records of crane operations and maintenance
· Communicate with supervisors and team members to safely coordinate movements
· Adhere to all OSHA and company safety standards at all times
· Perform required crane start-up and shutdown protocols and report any equipment malfunctions
Qualifications
· High school diploma, or GED required
· At least 1 year of experience operating overhead or bridge cranes in an industrial environment
· Certification or training in crane operation (preferred)
· Ability to read and interpret load charts and operating manuals
· Physical stamina and dexterity to manage heavy equipment
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Work Environment
· Indoor foundry and production facility
· Exposure to loud machinery and heavy materials
· Requires wearing PPE: On the production floor, this position requires a helmet, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes or boots, and hearing protection worn at all times. Occasionally, the need may arise for other protective clothing that will be provided.
Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00/Hour - Qualifications and experience dependent
Shifts: 1st (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) and 3rd (6:00 PM – 2:30 AM)
